L'artista, di origine napoletana, imposta i suoi lavori sulla fusione fra arte e vita, nutrendo le sue opere di una forte componente autobiografica e sovvertendo i luoghi comuni legati alla "meridionalità". Le donne da lei proposte sono infatti "nuovi" tipi femminili e reagiscono a stereotipi e ruoli predefiniti. Per Il potere delle donne propone due fotografie, Firewoman e Ancient World, di cui lei stessa, come sempre, è protagonista.
